Cabinet announces bonus of Rs 150 on per quintal of paddy

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has announced a bonus of Rs 150 on per quintal of paddy. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here. The centre has fixed the MSP of paddy at Rs 1750 per quintal and taking this bonus of Rs 150 the farmers in Jharkhand would be getting Rs 1900 for per quintal of paddy for the procurement which would be made in the year 2018-19. 

The government has sanctioned Rs 52 crore for paying the bonus to the farmers. In another key decision, the state government has decided to ink a MoU between Airports Authority of India for development of Dhalbumgarh and other airports of the state and it was also decided that a joint venture agreement will also be inked for running the airports.

The cabinet also approved the Jharkhand State Housing Board (Amendment) Act 2019. It was also decided to dismiss Jamnikant Jha the then circle officer of Kanke Ranchi while Kailash Prasad Yadav daily wage earned in the road construction department of Chaibasa division would be appointed permanently in grade D as a peon.

The cabinet also approved the decision to table a report of the state OBC commission for the year 2017- 18 in the floor of the assembly while under Swarnarekha Multipurpose project construction of Icha Dam was also approved. The government has also decided to include the provision of sublease into the lease of government land.
