Ranchi: The All India Bank Officers Confederation will be on a strike on December 21 over a host of pending issues including wage hike and immediate stoppage of the process of bank mergers. Addressing a press conference here AIBOC Jharkhand State Unit’s
president Sunil Lakra said this strike was a do or die situation for them.
He also attacked the government and the Indian Banking Association for the delay in increasing the wages which is pending since 2017 and said that while on one hand, the government was issuing licensee to smaller bank on the other hand in the name of weak banks the nationalized banks were being merged.
State Secretary of AIBCO Prashant Shandilya said that among the other demands of the association also included officials from scale 1-7 be given equal payment while agreement for wage revision should be done as per the charter of demands.
