Ranchi: A vendor development programme is being organised in Adityapur Auto Cluster of Jamshedpur in which Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohen would be present. An official press release issued here today said that the main purpose of the programme is to speed up the Momentum Jharkhand initiate and add further impetus on Make in India initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Moreover, this event is also aimed at finding new business opportunities for the state in the defence and railways sector. The programme is being jointly organised by Adityapur Auto Cluster, Defense, and Railways Ministry, Jharkhand Government and Adityapur Small Industrial Association. During the function, foundation would be laid for 90 companies under which an investment of Rs 1048.43 crore would be made and 9976 direct employment and about 20,000 indirect employment would be generated.
The prominent companies for which foundation would be laid included Hindustan Copper Ltd, Laguna Clothing of Mauritius, Excel India Ltd, Baba Sai Enterprises etc. TThese investments will not only create new jobs but would also be beneficial for
the economic growth of the state. The main purpouse of the programme being held in Adityapur is to establish coordination between the industrial units of the state with railways and defense manufacturing units and also provide a common platform to government departments, MSMEs, industrial houses.
It is also aimed at improving the capacities of the MSMEs so that they are able to develop as suppliers for defense and railways. In this programme the different organizations of the Defense Ministry would be putting up 25 stalls while the railways ministry will also set up 10 stalls. Apart from that, there would be more than 70 stalls of Tata Steel, Tata Motors, HEC etc.
