PAN cards must for selling cigarette in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Sellers who want to sell cigarette and other tobacco products in their shops must have their PAN, GST and vendor license
number. Following the orders of the central government, the state government has made this new system come into place and the mechanism would be into force in the state within a year. Joint Secretary of the Urban Development Department AK Ratan has issued a notification in this regard asking all the municipal corporations and municipal bodies to implement the system.

After the new mechanism comes into place those selling cigarette and other tobacco products will have to get their PAN made and will have to take the TIN number and GST number from the commercial taxes department and also fulfil all the other criteria’s as per the local municipal corporation and not only small shops but retail outlets, kiosks and shoppe would have to follow
