Ranchi (IANS): Maoist guerrillas on Tuesday set on fire five vehicles involved in road construction work in Jharkhand's Latehar district, police said.
The guerrillas raided a camp office of a private construction company in Dabri village and thrashed its employees with sticks and rifles.
The company is building a 20 km road at a cost of Rs 24 crore. The guerrillas set on fire the three JCB vehicles and two tractors by pouring diesel of them.
The staffs said the Maoists were unhappy as permission was not taken from them to start the road construction work.
