Ranchi (By our correspondent): The Urban Development Department has inked MoUs with separate companies for water supply in four cities including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Adityapur and Hazaribagh under Atal Mission For Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation ‘AMRUT’ Yojana. An agreement in this regard was inked by Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department cum JUDCO CMD Ajay Kumar Singh.
The secretary directed the representatives of the construction companies to complete the work in two
years time rather than the period of 36 months. He said that the supply of water for the common people should commence from
2020 December itself and said that it was the priority of the state government to ensure that people get water as per the needs.
Mr. Singh also assured the companies that if the work would be completed on time than they would be felicitated and said that the department would ensure full cooperation in their works.
He directed the officials of the JUDCO to commence the work of getting the NOC for land-related issues, crossing on NH so that the work is not hampered. State urban development agency director Amit Kumar said that all data related to the work would be provided to the companies as the directorate has a list of the household but it is for the companies to ensure that water reaches to each and every home and said that a team of SUDA will help the agencies in completing
their work.
