200 people to be provided pucca homes in Birsa Munda Jail premises

Ranchi (By our correspondent): State’s Urban Development Minister C P Singh said that 220 people who have encroached and made
their homes in the Birsa Munda Jail premises would be provided pucca homes along with the 40 families which are living at the side of the Karam Toli pond. Addressing the people after launching the Aawas Yojana here he said that these homes would be constructed by
the urban development department.

He said that it is the aim of the central and the state government that all should be provided pucca homes by the year 2022. He said that the state government does not believe in displacing the people but rather lays stress of resettling them first. He said that soon the construction of the homes would be completed after which the people would be allocated homes.

Those present on the occasion also included Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra and Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargyee.
