Association (FOWA) have jointly organized a three day Van Mela starting from Saturday. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Mita
Chaturvedi and Indu Shekhar Chaturvedi.
The purpose of the programme is to create markets for the products of the joint forest management committee so that they can also get the right price of their products and increase their earning so that they can cooperate more in forest management. A total of 45 stalls have been put up at the Palas Bhawan in Doranda in which apart from the items made of forest produce, Sohrai paintings, Patkar paintings, Terracotta paintings, ayurvedic cosmetics, garments made of khadi wool and cotton have been put along with stalls selling organic food products.
In this event, 250 active members of the forest management committee are participating and 7000 people visited the event on Day one while foreign tourists from Japan also attended the events.
