Joint initiative of GOI & Medanta Hospital to aid in TB Free Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the “End TB Summit in Delhi in March 2018, reaffirmed India’s commitment to end TB by 2025 and emphasized the need for all stakeholders including the public, private and civil society organizations to come together to end TB in India”. 

National consultation on multi-sectoral engagement for a TB free India was held at New Delhi today, organized by Medanta hospital in collaboration with Govt. of India. Jharkhand state was invited for this workshop.

Medanta has decided to extend their support for TB free Ranchi/Jharkhand. In this initiative, they will provide Mobile vans with digital X-ray and CBNAAT facility. These Mobile vans will be used for the screening of TB suspects during active case finding, health camps, and other routine activities. This will help the state to provide diagnostic facilities in difficult to reach areas, in turn, will help in early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Presently Medanta is supporting ‘Mission TB Free Haryana’ along with Govt. of Haryana since November 2015.
