Ranchi: Leader of legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren demanding that the state government should provide adequate compensation in case of demise of Corona warriors in the line of duty.
He said that different state governments have made provisions for providing compensation for the Corona warriors who might lose their lives due to being infected by the disease or dispensing other works. He said that while some states have fixed compensation at Rs 50 lakh others have given Rs 1 crore compensation but unfortunately in Jharkhand no such decision in the state has been taken.
Mr Marandi said that as per the information which has reached to him file related to the matter was pending some where which raises serious questions over the sensitivity of the state government.
He said that Corona warriors are putting their lives in danger for the sake of others therefore the government should also think about them. Mr Marandi said that two Corona warriors have lost their lives in state while dispensing their duties but no compensation has been given to their kin.
