Ranchi: Rain and thunder showers for yet another day took place in the state.
Due to the circulation in the Bay of Bengal the impact was also visible in Jharkhand as the party cloud sky in the morning lead to darker clouds in the afternoon finally resulting in the rainfall. Apart from Ranchi the districts of Gumla, Loharadaga Latehar, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Garhwa, Godda, Giridih and Palamu also reported rainfall.
While on one hand the rainfall brought down the temperature in these districts but also created problems for the people who had stepped out of their homes for urgent works amid lockdown. The worst impacted are the rural areas as the rainfall has started damaging the vegetables in the farms. The farmers had been already suffering due to lockdown while the rains and hailstones have further dented their back.
The MET department has predicted that till May 3 almost all the areas will received medium range of rainfall coupled with thundering and lightning. In the last 24 hours Jaridih of Bokaro has received maximum rainfall at 21.4 mm while Ranchi was coolest at 17.2 degree celcius and Daltonganj was hottest at 34.9 degrees.
