CM participates in video conferencing with PM, says people need to stop first to defeat Corona

Ranchi : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren called upon the people to stop themselves if they want to defeat Coronavirus.

Talking to reporters after the end of video conferencing with the Prime Minister he said that people of the state should not be in a hurry as security of the family, society was the responsibility of everyone which people needed to
understand and also follow.  

He said that a woman has tested positive for Coronavirus in Hindpiri therefore test of the people was very important and on large scale tests would be conducted. He said that the government was planning to set up a health camp in the area so that the health workers do not have to go in every home and urged the people to extend cooperation to the local administration as all the steps were being taken for their safety itself.

The Chief Minister said that it is being ensured that tests in large numbers are conducted and proper arrangements for this are being made. He said that in these times precautions should be given the top priority. He said instructions have been given to senior officials in this regard and urged the people who have come from outside not to be scared but themselves come forward for the tests.

The Chief Minister said that in video conferencing with the Prime Minister all the Chief Ministers had participated but only a few got an opportunity to speak with him and make him aware regarding the conditions of their state and when he will get a chance than he will also detail about the situation of Jharkhand.

He said that the issue of providing health care facilities to health staff was also taken up and even the financial issues were discussed. Hemant said that the Prime Minister has assured to provide help in the medical resources and asked the states to get the resources from any where in the world.

Those present in the video conferencing included Health Minister Banna Gupta, Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Principal Secretary Health Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka and others.
