New Delhi (IANS) The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a plea by a Christian body seeking postponement and rescheduling of the April 18 polling in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry since it coincides with the holy days of Good Friday and Easter.
A bench of Justice S.A. Bobde, Justice S. Abdul Nazeer and Justice Indira Banerjee dismissed the plea after the petitioner contended that three days including April 18 - the polling day - were the holy days for the Christian community.
