New Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan assumes office

Ranchi: Newly appointed advocate general of the state Rajeev Ranjan on Saturday assumed office.

He was handed overcharge by the outgoing advocate general Ajit Kumar who had resigned on Thursday following which on Friday the notification regarding the appointment of Rajeev Ranjan was issued by the Legal Department.

Mr Ranjan originally hails from the Buxar district of Bihar. He had his initial schooling from Ranchi and for higher studies, he went to Delhi and later completed his law from the Delhi University
