Village head rescued from clutches of Maoists in Ranchi

Ranchi: The village head of Sadog falling under Namkum Police Station area of this district was successfully rescued from the clutches of the maoists by the police personnel.

On Friday night the Gram Pradhan Sandeep Sundil was kidnapped by 7-8 armed ultras on Friday night from his home, however, as soon as the police got to know about the incident it swung into action and rescued the man.

It was being suspected that the man was kidnapped by the maoists for the want of ransom. However, the villagers of Sadog village remained mum on the incident and did not comment on the happenings fearing backlash by the ultras.
