AJSU promises 73 pc reservation if voted to power, pitches for special state status for Jharkhand

Ranchi: The AJSU party has promised to provide reservations in accordance with the population in the state as per which the reservation will be hiked to 73 percent including 32 percent for the Scheduled Tribes, 14 percent for Scheduled Castes and 27 percent for the Other Backward Caste.

The party which released its ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) for the Vidhan Sabha polls also raised up the domicile issue and promised that changes will be made in the policy or certain provisions will be included so that 100 percent reservation in the districts in category 3rd and 4th jobs will be given to those whose forefather's name feature in the last survey record of rights.

The Sankalp Patra was jointly released by party supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto, Giridih MP Chandraprakash Chowdhary, central spokesperson Devsharan Bhagat and other leaders of the party.

Detailing the promises made in the Sankalp Patra Dr Devsharan Bhagat said that every youth who will pass out graduation will be given an incentive of Rs 2100 for searching jobs while admission of the girls till graduation would be made free.

He said that this time the party has given the slogan of ‘Ab Ki Baar Gaon Ki Sarkar’. He said that the schemes which will be made in the Chaupals of the villages will be implemented in the state as the party was committed for the empowerment of the villages which will ultimately strengthen the concept of gram swaraj.

He said that not on the basis of the face but on the basis of ideals of Mahatma Gandhi the villages will be made strong as the party is off the view that if the villages are strengthened the state will ultimately become strong.

Further detailing the provisions in the party’s manifesto he said that CNT and SPT acts will be strongly implemented in the state moreover the Jharkhand Andolankaris will be given the status of freedom fighters and apart from them their family members will be given facilities.

The party has also promised to take necessary steps for making the para teachers permanent and the honorarium of the anganwadi sevikas and sahaikas will also be respectably increased. The party has also promised to implement Sarna code and bring strong laws against mob lynching.

Apart from setting up of a school of sports for the athletes the party also has plans to set up Jharkhandi Nritya Kala Academy. The party has once again raised the issue of special state category status for Jharkhand and promised that fresh efforts will be made in this regard. It has also assured to work on linking of rivers of the state to provide better irrigation facilities to the farmers.
