29 FIRs registered for violation of model code of conduct so far: Choubey

Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Kumar Choubey said that since the implementation of the model code of conduct in the state a total of 29 FIRs has been registered for its violation in different districts.

Addressing a press conference here he said 4 FIRs have been registered in Palamu, 8 in East Singhbhum, 3 in Dhanbad, 1 in Giridih, 2 in Ranchi, 4 in Bokaro, 4 in Saraikela- Kharsawan, and one each in Jamtara, Simdega and
Lohardaga.

He said that a total of 707 complaints were registered on the C-vigil app till Saturday afternoon out of which 649 have been dropped while 53 complaints have been addressed which were found to be correct and the process was on to dispose off another 5 complaints.
