HC reserves order on bail plea of Bandhu Tirkey

Ranchi: The Jharkhand HIgh Court has kept its order reserved on the bail plea of former HRD minister and JVM(P) leader Bandhu Tirkey.

The court of justice R Mukopadhyay kept its order reserved after the two sides completed their arguments in the case. Representing the government additional attorney general Manoj Tandon said that since the probe was till on their bail should not be given as the accused can influence the evidence.

Tirkey was the vice president of the 34th national games organising committee. The CAG report on the 34th national games pointed to a scam of Rs 28 crore in which Bandhu Tirkey was also named as an accused in the fir. Bandhu Tirkey has been fielded from Mandar seat by his party JVM(P).
