Jansamwad: 17 complaints taken up for review

Ranchi: During the weekly review of the complaints registered at the Jansamwad Kendra here a total of 17 complaints were taken up and necessary instructions were issued to the departments and officials concerned to solve the problems of the people.

So far 3.56 lakh complaints have been registered at the Jansamwad Kendra out of which 2.70 lakh complaints have been solved. The process was on to solve another 53,770 complaints while 26,693 cases were still pending another 4441 complaints were under review.

The most pending cases are in Giridih district (2943) followed by Palamu at 2194, Ranchi at 1875, Hazaribagh at 1815 and Deoghar at 1806 complaints.

A complaint was brought from Gumla district were it was pointed that an NGO Abhinav Vikas Sewa Samiti had to undertake construction of poultry shed for 210 beneficiaries but despite not constructing 127 such sheds the NGO withdrew money worth Rs 99 lakh over which special secretary of Chief Minister’s Secretariat Ramakant Singh directed the officials to recover the money from the NGO.

68 contractual employees working at state polytechnic college in Bahu Bazar Ranchi have not their honorarium for the last one year over which the nodal officer pointed that since the contract was not renewed therefore the money was not paid over which Mr Singh directed to solve the issue within 15 days.

One Daymanti Devi of Saraikela-Kharsawan district complained that 15 years ago her land was acquired for Swarnarekha Project but compensation has not been paid over which the nodal officer said that since the posts were vacant therefore payment could not be made on this he asked the officer to submit a requisition regarding the vacant post to the department.

Several other complaints related to pending honorarium, salary, gratuity, pension etc were taken up during the review programme in which ADG Police Headquarters Sams Tabrez and other officials were present
