Man kills wife and mother-in-law in Jamtara

Jamtara: A man killed his wife and mother-in-law in Rakhban village under Jamtara Police Station area of this district in the wee hours of the day.

The accused identified as Bahadur Rawani (36) was later arrested by the police. The deceased have been identified as Radha Devi (32) his wife and Saraswati Devi (50) mother-in-law.

Police said that the man was married to Radha for the last 12 years and for the last few years was living with his in-laws. The couple also has a 10 year old son.

The man suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair due to which he attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon due to which she died on the spot and moreover his mother-in-law who tried to intervene into the matter also sustained injuries and died.

Later both the bodies were sent for postmortem to Sadar Hospital.
