Youth drowns in Damodar river at Rajrappa

Ramgarh: A youth was swept away in the strong currents of Damodar river at Maa Chinmastika Temple located at Rajrappa of this district.

The youth has been identified as Sanjeet Ram (22) a resident of Patna. He along with his family had come to offer obesiance at the temple when his cousin Suraj who was bathing in the river started drowning.

To save him Sanjeet himself jumped into the water but was swept away by the strong currents of the river. However his cousin was rescued by local divers. Efforts were on to locate the body.
