CM expresses anguish over delay in providing zero cut power in Ranchi

Ranchi: Chief Minister Ragubar Das has expressed his anguish over the delay in providing zero cut power in the capital city of Ranchi.

Chairing a review meeting over the works of the power department he scolded the officials stating that they should have been more careful and should have thought before giving the deadline and asked the officials to ensure that the work is completed on time.

Mr Das said that most of the works are in the final stages and if there are any problems than the contractor can get in touch with the officials of the department. He instructed the officials to hold a meeting every 15 days with the contractors to solve their problems as the deadline will be not further extended.

He said that after seven decades the villages of the state have illuminated but some work was still left as the focus was on quality and ensuring zero cut power supply. He said that the work for the strengthening of power is completed in the state by October 31 and said that after completion of the transmission lone the quality of power will improve in the far-flung areas and even in the improvement of the urban area will be made.

He said that such contractors who have been given time extensions they should complete their work on time or money will be deducted. Those present on the occasion also included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Power Secretary Vandana Dadel and others.
