
Ranchi: A special session of the Jharkhand Assembly will be held on September 13 at the newly constructed Vidhan Sabha which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 12.
A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here. In another important decision, the cabinet approved a proposal to have 30 per cent minimum qualification marks for the exams to be organised by JPSC and JSSC for the candidates hailing from primitive tribes category in the state.
The government also approved a proposal to form a dam safety review panel to look into the works for safety and security to be undertaken on dams built on large and medium scale irrigation projects in the state.
Further, the first supplementary budget for fiscal 2019-20 was given approval from retrospective effect. It was also decided to give service extension till September 30, 2019 to TCS serving as a consultant to MMPCT Project in the state on payment of Rs 3.95 crore.
The government also decided to approve a sum of Rs 44.33 crore to reconstruct the Barapalasi-Thadi Mode Road in Dumka district including bridge construction on the stretch.
The government also decided to hand over an area of 15.42 acres in Patratu Circle area of Ramgarh district and an area of 27.62 acres in Hussainabad circle area of Palamu district to Navoday Vidyalay Committee, HRD Ministry, Government of India free of cost to establish the Navoday school in these two areas. A proposal to constitute 54 posts for the strengthening of the office of the Food Security Commissioner was also approved.
