State Congress pays tributes to Dr Radhakrishnan and Mother Teresa

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee paid floral tributes to former President Dr S Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary and also remembered Mother Teresa on her death anniversary.

In a function held at the JPCC headquarters here the party leaders garlanded the portraits of both the great personalities.

Speaking on the occasion JPCC chief Dr Rameshwar Oraon said described the late President as a great writer, educationist and philosopher. He said that his birthday is celebrated as Teachers Day across the country for the welfare of the teachers and with the use of education only all social evils can be removed from society.

On the other hand, he also shed light on the life and works of Mother Teresa. Dr Oraon said that she was a symbol of human service and her works for the poor and the downtrodden can never be forgotten. Those present on the occasion also included Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, Rajesh Thakur and others.
