
Garhwa: About 50 youths including two dozen from Jharkhand and others hailing from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have been trapped following a dispute between workers and Company management.
A youth from Bulka village of Ramna Police Station area of this district sent a WhatsApp video to his family members to inform about the situation. The youth were allegedly also beaten up and taken to an isolated location. The victims have urged the Prime Minister to secure their release.
Kamlesh Yadav the man who has sent the video said that he was not alone but there were another 25 youth from Palamu held hostage with him along with youth from different districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. All the youth were employed at Ansore construction company which also has a office in Vikroli Mumbai. These were sent to the company to work in April 2019 by a Siwan based consultancy firm.
The youth who have been kept at an isolated location are now fearing for their lives. All the youth have urged the Prime Minister and the External Affairs Minister to ensure their safe return home. The family members have urged the state government to help them.
On the other hand Garhwa DC Harsh Mangal said that he was not aware of the matter and would comment after having the details. On the other hand Pappu Yadav the owner of the consultancy which had sent the youth claimed that in the contract it has been said that work will be of 10 hours but they are demanding to work for 8 hours only due to work has been hit.
