Deoghar: AJSU Party Central Secretary Dhruv Prasad Sah has written to Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar expressing concern over the frequent transfer of Deputy Commissioners in Deoghar and the growing influence of middlemen in the state administration. He alleged that common people are facing difficulties due to corruption and interference by brokers in government offices. In the letter, Sah stated that Deoghar is not just an administrative district but also the cultural capital of Jharkhand and the holy city of Baba Baidyanath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. He said several major projects, including the Shravani Mela, Deoghar International Airport, AIIMS and the Deoghar Corridor, are currently underway in the district. The AJSU leader alleged that Deputy Commissioners in Deoghar are being transferred every three to four months, resulting in administrative instability and delays in development projects. He also claimed that middlemen have become active in services related to pensions, ration cards, land records and certificates, making it difficult for people to get work done without outside influence. The letter further accused the state government of failing to curb illegal activities and corruption linked to sand, stone, coal and land resources. It also stated that preparations for Shravani Mela 2026 remain inadequate despite the event approaching soon.Sah urged the Governor to ensure a minimum two-year tenure for Deputy Commissioners in Deoghar, take cognisance of corruption and the alleged middlemen network in the state, and prioritise the completion of projects linked to the temple town.
He said the AJSU Party would continue its struggle from the streets to the legislature for the dignity and development of Baba Baidyanath’s city.
