Ranchi: Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar Sinha held a meeting of the District Advisory Committee PC & PNDT at the Collectorate on Saturday.
DC directed to take action against those clinics which are unregistered and some untrained person is doing ultrasound work.
DC directed the concerned officers to strictly inspect all ultrasound institutions.
The DC said that action should be taken against sex determination clinics under the PC&PNDT provision, which also has a provision of five years in jail and a fine of Rs 50,000.
In the meeting, Civil Surgeon (Sadar) Ranchi Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Deputy Superintendent Sadar Hospital Ranchi Dr. AK Khaitan, Legal Advisor Jharkhand High Court Bhaskar Trivedi, Assistant Nodal Officer PC & PNDT Ranchi, PC & PNDT Dr. Abhishek, Dr. Basuki, Dr. A Sinha, PC & PNDT Coordinator Rakesh Kumar Rai and other members were present.
