Giridih: By running a campaign against animal smuggling, the police of Bagodar police station freed 30 animals from the clutches of animal smugglers and arrested three smugglers.
The arrested accused include Sunil Kumar, a resident of Fatehpur of Khirimor police station area of Patna (Bihar), Lalbabu Kumar, a resident of Mauli Bigha of Paliganj police station area, and Maqsood Alam, a resident of Saina of Dawat police station area of Rohtas. Giridih SP Deepak Sharma had received secret information that animal smugglers were loading animals from Arrah (Bihar) on trucks and taking them to West Bengal via Bagodar, Dhanbad.
In light of the above information, a police team was formed under the leadership of SDPO and an investigation operation was started near Jhari Bridge in Bagodar bypass.
