In Democracy welfare of people is foremost: Governor

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais on Wednesday said that in a democracy interest of the people is at the foremost. Speaking during a function organised at the Morhabadi grounds as part of the second anniversary celebrations of the Hemant Soren government he said that it should be priority of the government that it should rise up to the hopes and aspirations of the people.

Congratulating the Chief Minister for completing two years in his stint he said that the government is continuously trying to ensure the welfare of the people. He appreciated the works of the governor done during the Covid crisis and expressed his delight over the efforts being made on the education and health sectors of the state.

The Governor said that the Apke Adhikar Apki Sarkar Apke Dwar programme is an effective step to ensure the participation of the people in the administration and hoped that going forward the state government will continue to work for the betterment of all the sections and communities.
