Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren described crime against women as a spot for the society and asked the policemen to take all necessary action to stop them.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the 17th Police Duty meet he said in the era of social and economic change empowerment of the women should be accorded the most priority however the crimes happening against them were a spot for the entire society.
He asked the policemen to take help of different organizations to check violence and crime against women.
He asked the officials and the policemen to work with sensitivity towards the poor and backwards and work with dedication and ensure them justice which will help police to win the confidence of the people which is very important to maintain law and order in the state.
Hemant said that Maoists were the biggest challenge before the police and the state has lost many policemen in this battle. He expressed his tributes towards all the policemen who have been martyred in anti-insurgency operations and hoped that Jharkhand Police will be successful in removing the ultras.
The Chief Minister said that in the era of science and technology latest techniques should be adopted to crack cases so that prosecution is strong and guilty can get punishment.
He said that the policemen were the backbone of the security in the state who keep working despite all odd situations. He assured them that the state government will provide all necessary help to remove their problems and urged them to also remain cordial in their relationship with the people.
