Congress to file PIL in High Court against irregularities in Sah Brother Minning Lease

Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Congress chief Dr Ajay Kumar said that his party will file a PIL in the high court and will also approach the ACB to register an FIR against irregularities committed by the government in the award of mining lease of Sah
Brothers in Chaibasa district of the state.

Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters here Dr Kumar said that an organized loot has taken place in this case in which the person who holds the mines portfolio and the officials under him are equally involved in this. He also accused the advocate general of the state of misleading the high court over the issue. “ A mining scam worth Rs 1365 crore has taken place in the state for which the minister of the department concerned who in this case happens to be Chief Minister Raghubar Das himself and officials of the mining department are directly involved,” he said adding that in this organized loot all these people have honestly played their roles.

Taking further pot-shots he said that today was the festival of ‘Dhanteras’ but for this government and its officials the entire 365 years was about celebrating ‘Dhanteras’ as they have been misusing the money of the state through corruption. Dr Kumar pointed that a fine of Rs 1365 crore was imposed on the company for irregularities but the district minning officer of the area reduced the fine to Rs 252 crore.

The Congress leaders said that reduction of the fine imposed is not in the jurisdiction of the district minning officer and he can only do such acts when he is being supported from the people above. Those present on the occasion also included party media in-charge Rajesh Thakur, spokespersons Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo and Samsher Aalam.
