Ranchi (By our correspondent): Markets across the state is expected to see a business of around Rs 300 crore on the occasion of the auspicious occasion of ‘Dhanteras’. Apart from the capital, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Bokaro and others are also set to brisk business for the shopkeepers who are hoping to generate good numbers by the sale of jewellery, automobiles, luxury cars, electronic
goods, mobiles and items of household use.
On the occasion, a maximum number of two-wheelers will be sold to the people. It is expected that more than 10,000 bikes alone will be delivered to the people by the various two-wheeler manufacturing companies. The auto companies had commenced booking prior a month ago and had rolled out various offers to draw the customers. Apart from the selling of the cars, people from the affluent class will also indulge in buying of luxury class cars in the state and often the day is considered to be good for the overall automobile segment in the state.
The electronic market is also hoping to encash the festivities with many FMCG companies and mobile manufactures rolling out new products and offering discounts for the people. Traditionally the day also witnesses people indulging in buying of gold and silver jewellery. Apart from the ornaments people also buy gold and silver coins on the occasions.
