Ranchi (By our correspondent): DGP DK Pandey on Sunday chaired a high-level meeting with the senior police officials of the state.
The meeting was held in wake of the Jharkhand High Court’s order in which he had sought a report from the police department over the status of warranty criminals and storage houses.
In the meeting discussion was also held on crime control, providing better training facilities for investigating officials, establishing a better relationship between the people and the police. In the meeting, all the SPs, IGs, DIGs, officials posted at the police headquarters including those from the CID, special branch and ATS also participated.
The Jharkhand High Cout has demanded for a detailed plan for the entry of the arms and their destructions which have been seized by
the state police and has also summoned officials to the court. Apart from that within 70 days, it has also demanded the government to submit against the absconding warranties and the number of warranties who have been arrested by the state police.
