Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu said that there are 9 philosophies in the country out of which the tribal philosophy was the best and the biggest.
Addressing the inaugural session of International Seminar organised on tribal philosophy she said members of the tribal community worship the nature along with the five core elements which constitute the earth.
She said that so far the studies of the tribal communities have remained confined to their outside activities, their relationship with the outside world and their behaviour in the society and said that most of the research is focused on their religious rituals, ways of worship, rituals from life to death, festivities, songs and dance etc.
She hoped that events like these will help to make Tribal Philosophy an important part of Indian Philosophy.
She said that the people are aware that tribals constitute a large part of the population of the country who have remained an integral part of the Indian culture and civilisation.
She said that the tribals have rich art, culture, literature, traditions and customs and even their dance forms are attractive.
She said tribals are also worshippers of nature and pointed that on numerous occasions it has been found that their song and dance also makes other people join them.
