Unfortunate to link NPR with NRC and CAA says Union Minister Arjun Munda

Ranchi: Union Ministers for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda said that it was unfortunate to link the NPR with the NRC and CAA.

Addressing a press conference at his residence here he said that a person who considers himself an outsider will be given the citizenship under the CAA but those who want to hide the fact that they are outsiders or refugees than action would be taken against them.

He said that those people who are raising suspicion on the CAA and have doubts should keep themselves aware of the entire facts. He said that even in Ranchi there are many people who are outsiders.

The Union Minister said that those who have managed to leave behind the atrocities and have come to India will be benefitted by the act and this should not be linked with NPR. 

Arjun Munda said that NRC is a better initiative taken for the betterment of the future of the nation. He also announced that the ancient village of ‘Marang Gomke’ Jaipal Singh Munda which is located in Dakra of his constituency Khunti will be developed into a model village.

On the defeat in the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha elections in the state he said that it is often expected that the party will get votes on the basis of its works however this did not happen in these elections however he said that in the party forum review will be held on the reasons of the defeat.

Adding further Mr Munda said that with the help of Union Tribal Affairs Ministry 4700 students are doing P HD and the government was extending cooperation to the tribal students across the country for their research works.

He said that the department was preparing a large scale road map over the education and employment of the tribals as part if which his department in collaboration of the facebook will launch digital leadership programme so that members from the tribal community can get a digital platform and soon the platform will be launched.

He said that going into future the central government will launch many new schemes for the development of the tribal youth.
