Ranchi: The Congress party has asked the BJP and its leaders to stop making claims of wiping out the maoists from the state and pointed the recent statement by the chief election commissioner who said that in 19 districts LWE was present.
Addressing a press conference here party spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said that according to the election commission 19 districts are extremely left-wing extremism dominated which means out of 81 Assembly seats 67 seats are covered under LWE areas.
He said that the BJP leaders should stop giving a statement on wiping out the maoists. He said that the statement of the BJP leaders that the Congress has done nothing for the tribals in the last 70 years was not correct as it was the Government of Rajiv Gandhi which turned Gram Swaraj into a reality due to which the villagers were strengthened decentralization of power took place and participation of the women increased in the democracy.
He said that apart from that the PESA act, the land acquisition act were also passed by the Congress whereas the BJP and its leaders had tried its best to deny the rights to the tribals.
He said that in the last 5 years corruption was at its peak and pointed that despite scams taking place no action was taken by the state government however the people of the state have understood everything and In the Vidhan Sabha elections they would be teaching a lesson to the BJP apart from that the State Congress also asked a series of questions related to the foreign tours and the Momentum Jharkhand Global Investors Summit from the BJP.
