Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das laid foundation stones for 201 projects and inaugurated 163 schemes in a function held at the Bagunhatu Football grounds during which he said that the festival of Diwali has brought happiness among the poor.
He said that the double engine government of the center and state were involved in the development of the Jharkhand in double speed and was realizing the mantra of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and said that there was only one option to take the state forward which was only more and more development.
He said that through the skill development department and Khadi Board the women are being provided training and they are being made skilled and after being linked with employment and self-employment the economic empowerment of the women was taking place.
He said that in the function the women who have been provided training by the Khadi Board are being provided with sewing machines which will help in their economic betterment. He said that with the help of the Sakhi Mandals the development of the women was being also ensured.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand was land full of possibilities and the government was working to lay the network of small and cottage industries which will be beneficial in removing poverty as through small industries people can stand on their feet, therefore, such industries are being encouraged in the state.
Mr Das said that people living in the Eastern Area of Jamshedpur will also get similar facilities which is available in the homes of Tata Steel provided quarters as a deal for providing the power has been inked and said that in business and residential area soon power will be provided apart from that JUSCO will also provide water in these areas and Tata will also light up the slums and localities of Saraikela.
He said that people those who are living in the Eastern areas of the city should come up with a proof that they have been living here for the last 25 years and directly become the lease owner and said that so far three people have given proof or residing in the area for 30 years and their lease has been renewed.
