Heavy rainfall predicted in Jharkhand ob October 24-25

Ranchi: Due to a low pressure currently built over the Bay of Bengal which is situated 5.8 kilometers above the sea level Jharkhand too will be feeling its impact according to the weather department which has predicted heavy rains in the state on October 24 and 25.

In its prediction for October 24 the local MET has said that in western districts of the state including Simdega, Gumla, Latehar and Logardaga heavy rainfall is likely to take place and also in some area of Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh, Bokaro and Dhanbad.

These districts are likely to witness rainfall between 65 mm to 204 mm. On the other hand on October 25 heavy rainfall has been predicted almost all across the state during which the districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall between 65 mm to 115 mm. 

Director of the Ranchi MET department SD Kotal said that keeping in mind the weather condition the local administration has been directed to remain in alert mode.
