Ranchi: JMM’s acting president Hemant Soren said that people of Jharkhand are completely fed up with the arrogant Raghubar Das government of the state as it was functioning more like a dictator.
Addressing the Badlao Maha rally organised at the Harmu grounds here he said that instead of providing rights to the people they are being beaten up with sticks.
He said that lathicharge is been ordered on Anganwadi sevika and sahayika and whether they were youth farmers or others all were under stress. He accused the state government of being involved in loot and said that while on one hand money is being looted from the banks on the other the land of the people was been also looted away.
He alleged that scam after scam was taking place in Jharkhand due to which people are fed up and want a change. Hemant accused the State Government of being involved in gross irregularities and claimed that he has proof that the Chief Minister along with four other senior officials of the state in fake bills of Rs 18 lakh traveled abroad.
He also accused that in the Shah brothers case despite the recommendation of the departmental secretary the Chief Minister took the opposite decision due to which the state has included losses worth crore. He also raised questions as to who was purchasing thousands of acres of land in Chhattisgarh and said that it was a matter of probe. JMM supremo Shibu Soren said that due to the rainfall a good opportunity for the people to listen to the leaders has gone waste.
He said that it was a matter of right that people have been born in Jharkhand however it was very unfortunate that as desired development has not taken place in the state as the villages and the poor are still backward. He asked the party workers present in the audience to accord importance to education as without education the community cannot develop and the state cannot progress.
During the event, Hemant Soren also made some key announcements off his party which included bringing such law so that no one is able to take away the land of the people and providing 50 percent reservation to women in the state.
He also said that those who would be taking away the minerals from the state would also be provided in return power and other resources on the other hand dependency on DVC would be reduced, while rural consumers would be provided 200 units of free power.
