Elections to be declared in Jharkhand after October 25

Ranchi: Elections in the state in all probability will be declared after October 25th.

If the words of the sources in the election commission are to be believed than either in the 4th week of October or in the first week of November the dates for elections in the state will be declared.

The election commission is in constant touch with cabinet election department of the state government which on its part has further expedited the process while the work for the revision of electoral rolls was also in the last stages.

The objections in the voter list are being addressed and after the amended voter list is prepared and approved by the Election Commission of India the last publication of the electoral rolls will be done October 12.

The commission was also regularly monitoring the situation related to EVM, warehouses, availability of EVMs etc.

Chief Electoral Officer of the state Vinay Kumar Choubey is also holding regular meetings assistant Electoral officers and is looking into the poll preparations. He has directed the health department to prepare medical plans for all booths.
