CM launches ‘Karta App’, asks people to download the app and take its benefits

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das launched the ‘Karta App’ at the project building here during which he said that in today’s IT era, one can easily do everyday tasks using technology and even the common people can easily handle minor tasks.

He said that the introduction of “Karta App” is a commendable step as through this app, people will be able to get the services of Plumber, Electrician, House Keeping Service, Driver, Guard, Nursing etc. sitting at home. This will not only facilitate the common people, but the people associated with this service will also get a platform for easy work, he said. Chief Minister appealed to the common people to take advantage of the service by downloading this app on their mobile phones.

He instructed the officials of the department to thoroughly investigate and include all the service providers associated with it. He also spoke to the service providers present in the program and got to know their needs and requirements.

Mr Das said that all the service providers should be registered with the Labor Department under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Shram Shakti Abhiyan’, so that all the laborers can get the benefits of the government schemes. In this, immediate assistance of two lakh rupees during the death in accident, scholarships for the education of children, safety kits etc. will be available for the labourers he said adding that by the month of October, the laborers associated with various projects running in the state should also complete the registration with the construction board.

On Deepawali, the government will give sarees to women laborers and pant-shirts to men laborers who are registered with the board, he said. On the occasion, Urban Development Minister CP Singh said that the State Government is committed to providing better facilities to the people.

With this scheme, people will be able to get convenience from home. A call center is also being started to diagnose problems related to it, he said. Chief Secretary Dr. DK Tiwari, emphasized on making this app more and more user-friendly. Urban Development Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh said that it has been started in Ranchi under the ‘One City One Impact’ Program which is being run under the Smart City Mission by the Central Government.

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, emphasized on spreading the Karta App more and more. Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Amit Kumar informed that a large number of skilled and semi-skilled service providers of various sectors have been listed under this app. It can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store. It will also be made available on IOS soon. People can also avail this service and app from karta.
