Giving new dimensions to development in Santhal Pargana is my priority says CM

Godda: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that removing the poverty and giving new dimensions to the development works in the Santhal Pargana region was among his priorities. Participating in the Jan Chaupal organised at Sundar Pahadi of this district he said that he was deeply pained to see the poverty and lack of development in the Santhal Pargana region and said that it was in his mind that if he ever went on to become the Chief Minister he would make dedicated efforts to bring a change in the Santhal Pargana area therefore after becoming the Chief Minister in 2014 he has been regularly visiting the area.

He said that he has been able to achieve some success but more work is left. He said that the first priority of the double engine government of the centre and state is to double the income of the farmers and PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana and Mukhymantri Krishi Samman Yojana are playing a vital role in achieving this target.

He said that so far 18 lakh farmers have been benefited under the scheme and those whose names have not been included their names would be entered by September 10th as DCs of all the districts have been directed to monitor its progress on a daily basis and said that the purpose of both the schemes is to benefit 35 lakh farmers in the state so that they can accumulate necessary resources for their agriculture works.

The Chief Minister said that under Sukanya Yojana daughters of the state are being benefited as at the time of their birth money is given in the accounts of the parents so that they do not face economic crisis in their studies. He said that those girls who have crossed 18 and are unmarried and are also 12th pass and their names have been included in the voter list they would be given Rs 10,000 each in their accounts and even under Mukhymantri Kanyadan Yojana for girls suitable for marriage Rs 30,000 is being provided therefore the government is giving a sum of Rs 70,000 right from the birth of the child to her marriage.

Mr Das said that malnutrition is a big problem in the state and cooperation of all was needed to remove it as when the children are healthy then only a healthy state will be created. He said that anganwadi centres have an important role to play in the all round development of the children therefore under CSR the Anganwadi centres are being strengthened in the state and asked the people working in the centers to be caring in their nature and do their work honestly as than only malnutrition free Jharkhand can be made.
