Jharkhand gets two new trains, Raghubar says state making rapid progress under PM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the people were getting the advantage of double engine government as the state was making rapid progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Flagging off couple of new trains including Ranchi-Tatanagar and Hatia- Sanki Passenger a function held at the Ranchi Railway station here he said that in the last five years many works has been done in the area of laying the new railway lines and launch of the new trains. He said that many ROBs have been built and many more are being constructed he said adding that every three months a meeting is held to review the progress in the execution of railway projects in the state.

He said that the Prime Minister has always stressed on the need of connectivity as by opening of 36 crore Jan Dhan accounts the people were linked with the economy of the country while new rails, roads and waterways have helped in connecting the people. He said that under the Udaan Yojana even the common man can now fly and under this scheme, five regions of the state will be connected.

The Chief Minister said that the state was making rapid progress and the day was not far behind that in the area of development not only it will stand among the developed states of the country but will compete with the other developed countries. He said that the state was receiving the full cooperation of the central government in its development works.

He said that many schemes related to the welfare of the people and strengthen the basic infrastructure are currently on in the state and in days to come Jharkhand will emerge as a role model for others.

Mr Das also urged the people to join the Fit India Campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that like cleanliness this too should be made a peoples movement. He said that when the people will be fit than the country will remain fit and moreover when the players are fit than the nation can win more medals.

Union minister of state for railways Suresh Angadi said that expansion and development of railways is a special priority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railways Minister Piyush Goyal. He said that all necessary steps are being taken to provide better facilities to the people and added that in the days to come Rs 50 lakh crore will be spent by the railways.

The minister said that the department was working to improve the security in the trains, cleanliness, timely running the trains, development of railway infrastructure. He said that every day 2.50 crore people travel in the railways and said that when the people will consider the railways as their own then there was no doubt that it will emerge as one of best facilities provider in the country.

Urban Development Minister CP Singh and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth in their address demanded that a new railway zone should be built in the state, the Rajdhani Express should be run daily and better coaches should be provided in the trains originating from Ranchi. Those who also graced the occasion included Purulia MP Jyotrimoy Singh Mahto, MLAs Naveen Jaiswal, Jeetu Charan Ram and etc.
