Major fire breaks at Pragti Prateek Puja Pandal in capital

Ranchi (RP Service): A major fire broke out at the Pragati Prateek Puja Pandal located at Kishoreganj under Sukhdeo Nagar Police Station area of the state capital.

In the fire incident, the main entrance of the pandal was completely gutted. As soon as the fire spread the locals along with the workers making the pandal jumped in to douse to the flames. Police sources said that the fire had occurred due to a short circuit however it was controlled by the people much before it could reach the center where the idols were to be kept.

The pandal is being made of haystacks. Upon receiving information members of the Ranchi Zilla Durga Puja Committee also reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. Officials from the district administration also reached onto the spot.
