Ranchi (IANS): Impact of the cyclone Titli, which made landfall between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha early on Thursday, has also been felt in Jharkhand where some districts experienced rains since early morning.

The rainfall has taken place in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and other bordering parts of Odisha.

According to Met Department officials, the mercury dropped by three to five degrees Celsius in the state.

The Met Department has issued an alert of moderate to heavy rainfall in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Seraikela, West Singhbhum, Khunti and some other districts.

The rainfall could spread to six districts in the Santhal Pargana region, including Deoghar, Pakur and Godda. The weather office has predicted 60-120 mm rainfall on Friday in the districts given above.

"Jharkhand may witness rainfall on Friday due to Titali cyclone. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in different parts of the state," B.K. Mandal, the Met Director here, told reporters.
