Ranchi (By our Correspondent): Stating that Jharkhand was the most suitable destination for investment Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das invited the corporate houses to visit the state during the Global Agriculture and Food Summit to be held in Ranchi on November 29 and 30.
Addressing a meeting with the stakeholders in New Delhi he said that there were tremendous opportunities to invest in the areas of food processing, horticulture, floriculture diary and fisheries in the state. He said that people for the first time have voted for a majority led government in the state which framed quick policies, implemented decisions and has created a transparent administration.
Mr. Das said that his government is working with clear intentions and said that after the global investor's summit of 2017 four groundbreaking ceremonies have been held by the means of which jobs have been created for more than 62,000 people. He said that through more than 1.51 lakh Sakhi Mandals 17 lakh woman have been linked with self-employment which Mudra yojana has helped create jobs for 14 lakh youth.
Mr. Das said that earlier Jharkhand was only known for its mines and industries based on minerals but his government has tried to change the identity of the state and has accorded focus to agriculture and IT sectors as part of which this global summit is being organized. He said that his government was committed to double the income of the farmers as a development of the villages and their prosperity was the main objective of the government.
