CS asks district administration to be on high alert for Durga Puja

Ranchi - (By our Correspondent): Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi has directed all the DCs and SPs of the state to give a message to the people that the administration was ready for Durga Puja and asked to create awareness in this regard. 

He asked the officials to remain among the people as not only the common people will feel safe but curb can also be put on the anti-social elements. He said that during puja till immersion of the idols the puja organising committee should be made aware of pollution and should also be made part of the campaign.

The instructions of the Chief Secretary followed during a review meeting with the DCs and SPs over preparations for Durga Puja. He asked the officials to be present themselves at sensitive spots and take steps to maintain vigil. Principal Secretary Home SKG Rahate directed the officials to remain on a high alert for Durga Puja and ensure that no criminal incidents take place for which patrolling should be intensified along with hot spots flashpoints etc. and also asked to undertake mapping of puja pandals and asked to make sure that procession of idol immersion take place on the fixed route.
