Action against illegal bottling plants in state: Sahis

Ranchi: State’s Water Resources and Sanitation Minister Ramchandra Sahis has warned of strict action illegal bottling plants in the state.

Over the complaints being received in this direction he has directed the Secretary of the department to take necessary action.

The Minister has said that he has been receiving information regarding exploitation of underground water and pointed that in the present time providing clean drinking water to the people is one of the biggest challenges and the government was working to provide water through pipelines to the people however there are many cities in the state where due to unauthorised deep boring and bottling plants water is being exploited.

He said that due to excessive use of underground water by bottling plants the area is being converted into dry zones more over on health parameters also the quality of water is also not examined therefore it was necessary to take action these illegal bottling plants.
