Raghubar reviews power scenario in state

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that without power development is not possible as also for living a better life power is a must.

Chairing a high level review meeting over the works of power department he said that out of 68 lakh families only 38 lakh families had access to power but in the last 4.5 years 30 lakh homes have got power however by just providing power alone the works will not be fulfilled as there was a need to improve infrastructure also. He said that whether it is department or agency for all timeline should be fixed for work. He said that all departments should work with coordination.

He said that whatever timeline should be given to the agency they should complete the work within that time. He said that proposals related to forest department should be given by Tuesday and hold a meeting with the department and said that clearance on all issues should be given by June end. He said that incase problem is faced by agency in coordination with administration local bodies or any other organisation than immediately information should be sent as the issue will be immediately sorted out.

However the Chief Minister categorically said that at all cost timeline should be followed and said that it will be good if the agency completes its work before the timeline. Mr Das asked the forest department to issue NOC within a fixed timeline. In meeting progress on each of the projects was individually done.
