Ranchi: JMM’s acting president Hemant Soren has made it clear that his party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in the state as part of Mahagathbandhan.
Addressing a press conference here after the end of the party’s central working committee meet here he said that as per the formula worked out in the Lok Sabha polls the seat sharing for assembly elections will be finalised in the state. He said that JMM would be contesting on maximum number of seats in the state and will also favour that all like minded parties including the left are part of the alliance. Those who were present on the occasion included party MP Vijay Kumar Hansda and former MLA Amit Mahto.
Mr Soren said that the party will be going among the people with the slogan of ‘Pravasi Raghubar Bhagao, Jharkhand Bachao’ slogan. He said that the party has decided to show the outside door to the outsider as in the last 4.5 year rule of Raghubar Das water crisis has worsened in the state. He said that such is the crisis that people are even fighting with each other for their water needs. He said that existence of Ponds have been removed and even the land mafia have their eye on one of the ponds. Mr Soren said that condition of power has further worsened in the state as against the claim of providing 24 hours power to the people not even 24 percent sucess has been achieved.
He also attacked the Chief Minister over his statement on control on Maoist incident and said that Mr Das is not aware of the real situation and is busy making talk claims.
Over separate views of the party of contesting the polls in alliance or solo he said that all have right to air their views and the party should respect their feelings. When asked when things are not right in Congress and JVM(P) than whom would he be speaking with over this he said that JMM is not interested in internal affairs of any other outfit.
He said that on May 15 and 16 the central committee meet of the party will be held in Dumka in which all active members of the party will be participating. In the meeting discussion will be held on how to make preparations
for the assembly elections.
